Local school pupils, community members and Friends of Hazlehead are once again coming together to help make our public spaces as lovely and enjoyable to use as possible.

Hazlehead Academy pupils have arranged a litter pick-up en-masse in the grounds of Hazlehead Academy and surrounding Groats/Skene Road areas this Thursday; 16th May,  in support of national initiative “Clean Up Scotland.

Whilst this will be an all day event with Hazlehead Academy pupils working ‘shifts’ throughout the school day, we are calling upon parents and community members to get involved and help support and build upon the pupil’s hard work.

The pupils have arranged for us all to meet at 3pm at the Kiosk in Hazlehead Park, where we will meet with teachers and pupils involved in extracurricular  ‘Eco Groups’ from the Academy and local primaries. We intend to be on litter patrol until 5, but of course, we completely understand if you have to nip of before that- every minute of donated time is greatly appreciated!

Please feel free to direct any questions or comments to our Facebook page. See you all on Thursday!
