Hazlehead Park is a wonderful park with many different areas within it that offer something for everyone. There are many areas for kids to run about and a great kids play area. The grown-ups can sit on the many benches and have a nice cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate from the kiosk.
The surrounding area is fantastic for a walk whatever the season. There is a variety of nature to see including red squirrels, birds of prey, and deer.
Getting fit in the area is easy too. There are plenty of tracks in the woods to run about on and plenty opportunities to play football, rugby, and golf.
The park also contains the Piper Alpha Memorial and rose garden to commemorate the 167 who tragically died in the North Sea oil platform explosion in July 1988.
