Hazlehead Park houses a significant collection of sculptures by a range of artists including heritage items which have been rescued from various places within the city. These are distributed throughout the park with some quite well hidden from the well trodden path.

The most prominent piece of art to be found at Hazlehead Park is, of course, the Piper Alpha Memorial statue and rose gardens sculpted by the Scottish artist Sue Jane Taylor. These are currently being rejuvenated by the Pounds for Piper charity.

One of the longer term aims of the Friends is to see a program of maintenance carried out on the artwork and new art attracted to the area.
