The committee is a group of people who care about the area. The committee runs the organisation and guide the activities of the Friends, with input from the community. The Articles of Association is the ruling document that the committee use to ensure they are complying with the initial aims defined as the group was set up.
The committee also ensure that the activities of the Friends comply with the requirements to continue as a charity.
Elections are held each year at the AGM for positions on the committee, but positions that are free can be filled during the year if required.
Chairman and Trustee
Donald lives and works in Aberdeen and is a regular user of the Park’s running paths and golf courses. Donald is a Project Manager within Aberdeen’s oil and gas industry.
Vice Chair Person
Barbara is an educator who lives and works in the local area.
Brought up in the area and and still living locally. A lifelong user of the park. Gary is a financial advisor with a successful business.
Ken was born and raised in the Hazlehead area of Aberdeen and has been both an avid user and supporter of the Hazlehaed Park over the past 50 years. “The Park itself really is and will be in the future a key Aberdeen attraction both for existing residents and visitors to Aberdeen, along with my fellow Friends of Hazlehaed trustee’s I will be seeking to uncover the further potential the park has in a number of key areas in order to maintain and improve the facilities we already enjoy in the park and surrounding area”.

Ross is born and bred in Aberdeen. Ross has grown up, lives in and works in the city that he is proud to call home.
