There is a lot of work to be done, however the Friends of Hazlehead are focusing on the following activities over the next year:

  • Improvements to drainage to reduce water-logging and water ponding
  • Improvement to the public toilet facilities
  • New and improved signage and information sources about what is in the park and where
  • Replanting and renovation in the Queen Mother Rose Garden
  • Upgrading of core paths and creation of signposted running routes
  • Renovation and improvement to Pets’ Corner with conversion of the former aviary building to an interpretive centre (with possible themes of climate change and conservation of red squirrels)

If you can get involved to help in any way, we would love to hear from you.
